Annually, prior to the Gala, the BBHL Membership vote on the awards listed below. The process for voting is as follows:

• Between November 1^st and November 15^th the Executive Committee will accept nominations for each award.
• The Executive Committee will then provide the members of the league with a ballot with the nominated members for their selection.
• Each BBHL member votes on each award and returns the ballot to the Executive Committee.
• The Executive Committee tallies the votes and in the event of a tie determines the winner.
• The award winners are presented at the annual gala held at the end of the year.

Note: To be eligible for an award, the member must have participated in a minimum of 20 weekly hockey games during the calendar year.

Rookie of the Year – The top first year player in the league defined by calendar year (at any position).

Most Improved Player – The player who has shown the most improvement from the beginning of the Calendar year to November 1^st.

Most Sportsmanlike Player – The player who has the least number of incidents in the league, provides positive guidance and leadership to team mates, encourages fair play and conducts himself/herself with the utmost integrity.

BBHL Top Scorer – Awarded to the player with the most points during the year.

BBHL Top Goaltender – Awarded to the player with the most wins during the calendar year.

1^st Team All-Stars – The top 3 Forwards, 2 Defencemen and 1 Goalie will be named to the BBHL 1^st Team All-Stars

2^nd Team All-Stars – The next best 3 Forwards, 2 Defencemen and 1 Goalie will be named to the BBHL 2^nd Team All Stars.

Participation Awards – Member for 5 years, member for 10 years, etc.

Team Barbados Award – Given to the top performer (at any position) of the tournament team. Only BBHL National Team Members will vote for this award.

Hall of Fame Award – Each year a new member will be inducted into the BBHL Hall of Fame as per the following rules:

1. Each year at least one former member of the BBHL (BHL) will be inducted into the BBHL Hall of Fame.
2. To be eligible the member must be inactive for a period of at least one year or no longer resident in Barbados.
3. Only current BBHL players are eligible to nominate former players.
